Men’s Four Miler
Started in 2004, the Charlottesville Men’s Four Miler is the only all-male foot race in the area. The 2012 race will take place on Father’s Day for the 2nd straight year! Runners of all different fitness levels are welcome.
Studies have shown that men die at alarming rates from both male specific conditions such as prostate cancer and from male risk conditions such as cardiovascular disease, both of which are directly impacted by lifestyle and activity choices.
The primary purpose of this race is to encourage men in the community to become more physically active and to take a proactive role in the management of their health.
The secondary purpose of the race is to raise awareness and funds for the development of the Virginia Men’s Health Improvement and Performance Initiative (VMHIPI) at the University of Virginia.

Annual Meeting 2013
