April 28, 2017  — Congratulations to Claire DeBolt, a fourth-year student at the UVA School of Medicine and the recipient of the 2017 Gratton Alexander Litz, III Award for outstanding performance during the Internal Medicine clerkship.

The Litz Award recognizes a fourth-year student with the ability to apply medical knowledge clinically, while demonstrating compassion for patients.

The award was presented on April 28 during a luncheon attended by several faculty and members of the Litz family including Margaret R. Douglas, MD ’83, and Capt. Charles Litz.

After graduating in May, Claire will continue her training at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), specializing in internal medicine.
