Kyle B. Enfield, MD, Res ’06, Fel ’10, an associate professor in UVA’s Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Critical Care, recently contributed to a story in TIME about using humidifiers in cold weather.

In the article, Enfield talked about the benefits of using a humidifier and decreasing the dryness that may cause nose and throat irritation. “Having a humidifier, particularly if you have asthma, can decrease those symptoms and make you feel more comfortable. When you have a cold, they can make you feel less congested.”

Enfield was the recipient of the 2021 Early Achievement Award from the UVA Medical Alumni Association.
