Steven E. Bishop, MD, is the associate chair for education, as well as the clerkship director, for the Department of Internal Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Medicine. His educational interests include competency-based and criterion-based grading and evaluation systems. Dr. Bishop’s areas of research include innovative grading structures, mobile and application-based training and feedback, and team-based learning. His areas of clinical focus include general primary care, obesity medicine, and inpatient general medicine teaching services.
