Department of Ophthalmology Marion K. Humphries Jr., MD Symposium

The Department of Ophthalmology hosts this annual conference and symposium for physicians and technicians. The symposium is named in honor of Marion K. Humphries Jr., MD, who was the first Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia.

The Humphries Physician Symposium is dedicated to providing the clinical ophthalmologist with opportunities to increase knowledge and competence related to the most up-to-date diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and to reflect on how this information might lead to changes in their daily practice.

The conference has two programs: The Humphries Physician Symposium and The Humphries Technician Program.
