Eugene Dew Brand, MD, 93 of Charlotte, NC and Wicomico Church, VA, passed on February 7, 2018 at the Levine Dickson Hospice, Huntersville. Dr. Brand was born March 10, 1945 in the Panama Canal Zone. He attended the Citadel and graduated from the University of Virginia and Harvard Medical School combined in five years. Dr. Brand was board certified in three medical disciplines; taught at the University of Virginia Medical School for 20 years; was a guest researcher at NIMH for three years; and practiced psychiatry in the Northern Neck of Virginia from 1974 until 2004.

Dr. Brand is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy James Clark Brand, his children and grandchildren.
