Henry Gasson Bryan Sr., MD, age 90, passed away on November 18, 2020. He was born on January 20, 1930. Henry graduated from George Washington High School in Alexandria, Virginia as the co-valedictorian. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute and attended medical school at the University of Virginia. Henry was a very proud Virginian.

Henry was board certified in Dermatology and Dermpathology and was one of the first dermatology residents to graduate from Henry Ford Hospital. Henry practiced Dermatology in Farmington, Michigan. After Henry and his late wife Joan were married, Henry joined the Army and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska before it became the 49th state. His experiences there stayed with him throughout his life. He supported the well being of all native Americans. Henry and Joan also loved to bicycle, touring the United States and Europe on their tandem bicycle. Henry also loved leather work and making picture frames.

Henry was the beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Moran) for 63 years. Adored father to Dr. Henry (Holly) Bryan, the late Dr. Thomas Bryan, the late Albert Bryan, and the late Joseph Bryan. Cherished grandfather to Alana Wilhelm, Alexa Bryan, Lindsay Bryan-Podvin, Colleen Bryan-Tillema, Aryana Bryan, Bryana Bryan, Mysha Bryan. Dear great grandfather to Cade Henry Tillema, Julia Bryan, the late Lucy Bryan, Lily Kosal, Vivian Kosal.

Henry will be laid to rest with his dear wife Joan at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
