Dr. J. Lee Sedwick, 93, of Knightdale, North Carolina, passed away on February 2, 2017, in the company of his family. He served in the 1st Armored Division during WW II and attended the University of Virginia. He became a surgeon with the Navy, serving in California and Japan. He fox hunted for many years with the Moore County Hounds and was a Master of the Triangle Hunt. His longtime surgical practice was located in Eastern Wake County.

Dr. Sedwick is survived by his wife, two children, and granddaughter. A graveside service was held on February 19 at the Hilltop Cemetery on the Walthour Moss Foundation.
