Dr. James C. McFalls passed away on December 13, 2022, peacefully in his sleep. He was 85 years old. Dr. McFalls practiced Ob/Gyn for more than 30 years at Georgetown and Arlington Hospitals. He was known for his generosity of time, support, advice, and the great care he gave to his patients.

Born in 1937, Jim grew up in a coal mining town outside of Pittsburgh, Pa. Football led him to the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) where he was named All American. He was drafted by the Redskins in 1959. Jim opted instead for medical school at the University of Virginia. He did his residency at Georgetown Hospital followed by service in Okinawa, Japan with the US Army.

Jim leaves behind Susan, his wife of 55 years along with Bridget, Scott (Nancy) and Andrew (Kate) and his grandchildren, Kelley, Keegan, Nora, Hugh, and Corey. His sons Ryan and Brady and granddaughter Baby Mo will welcome “Doc” into Heaven.
