Dr. Kenwyn G. Nelson passed away on March 10, 2019 at the age of 92. He served in the U.S. Army for 28 years, and was chief of staff and chief of surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Tyler, Texas for the next 30 years. He was father to six children, grandfather to nine grandchildren and great grandfather to six great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Nelson.
