Kirsten Elizabeth Zeiss, a resident of Crozet, Va., passed away on December 27, 2018, at the age 34.

She was born on May 29, 1984 in Pensacola, Fla. After graduating from Dickinson College, Kirsten attended Medical School at The Ohio State University. During her years of study, Kirsten participated in several medical mission trips including ones to Ethiopia, Uganda, and Peru. Upon earning her medical degree, she completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Virginia. Kirsten practiced as a physician with Valley Health Urgent Care in Winchester and then Western State Hospital in Staunton. Kirsten was a practicing Catholic and involved in Charlottesville’s Catholic Mom’s group and in Bible studies at her parish St. Thomas Aquinas Church. She considered her greatest accomplishment to be the mother of two adorable children, Lucy (3) and Benedict (10 months). Kirsten is also survived by her beloved husband Daniel, whom she married in December of 2012. In addition, she is lovingly remembered by countless other friends, family, and colleagues.
