Dr. Milan Piersol Krickovic, of Maidens, Va., passed away peacefully on March 2 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Krickovic,and his mother, Mary Sevilla Piersol Krickovic. Born in Washington, Pa., Mike graduated from Virginia Military Institute in 1959 and the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1964. He trained at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., completed his military service in the U.S. Public Health Service in Baltimore, Md., and concluded his training at the University of Maryland.

Dr. Krickovic moved to Richmond in 1971 to join brothers Charles and Larry Zacharias in their internal medicine practice. In 1978, he opened his solo private internal medicine and cardiology practice, where he cared for many patients until his retirement in 2012. He used a concierge medical approach, but without the fee, before it was in vogue. He was a member of the Richmond Academy of Medicine, the Medical Society of Virginia and the AMA.

Dr. Krickovic is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Anne Winfrey Holland Krickovic, their three children: Stephen P. (Happy), Michael S. (Wendy), Sheri Krickovic Moxin (Darren) and six grandchildren: Tyler and Travis (Gaelyn) Krickovic; Will, Katie and Maddie Krickovic; and Molly Moxin. He is also survived by his sister, Alexandra K. Self. His true loves were family, medicine and his beloved farm and horses.
