Robert W. Ikard, Sr., MD, age 78, died unexpectedly on November 8, 2016. Born January 21, 1938, he is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edwin Ikard and Leonora McKissack Ikard of Columbia, Tenn.

He touched countless lives in his distinguished career, and had deep interest in many subjects, including music, literature, history and Vanderbilt basketball. His adoring family was his proudest achievement.
