Tureman “Bo” Gayle Weaver, MD, 89, of Richmond, Va., went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Lillian Weaver; and his sister, Ollie May “Rusty” Hudgins. He is survived by two nephews, Robert C. Parrish Sr. (Julianna) and Stephen Parrish; great-nephew, Robert C. Parrish Jr. (Elizabeth); great-niece, Corinne Harrison (Chris); and great-great-nieces and nephews, Malik, Evaline, Kaylin, Amari, Allison, Alicia, Maya and Maddox.

Dr. Weaver was valedictorian of his class at Washington and Lee High School, an accomplished pianist and an avid tennis player. He attended the University of Virginia Medical School, did his internship at Vanderbilt University and residency at Medical College of Virginia. While at UVA, he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honorary Society and made the dean’s list. In addition to practicing internal medicine and pediatrics, he served most of his medical career at the VA Medical Center in Richmond. He created and endowed the Tureman Gayle Weaver M.D. and Mrs. Ollie Weaver Hudgins Piano scholarship at Virginia Commonwealth University.
