Established in 2005 with funds from the Estate of William Carter Lowe, MD, Class of 1957 (deceased in 2004). Dr. Lowe spent a good deal of his professional life caring for Native Americans. Even after retirement, he spent the majority of his time volunteering both on reservations and in the community where he lived in Kalamazoo, Mich. He was well-loved as a physician and greatly admired and respected for his volunteer work and for his care of the Native American.
