Established in 2000 by a generous gift from Lawrence J. Pace, MD (School of Medicine, Class of 1934, and faculty member) and Nettie Pace (School of Nursing, Class of 1931). Scholarships are provided to deserving UVA medical students with financial need, preferably from the Rockingham County, Va., area (Harrisonburg) or the Mercer County, W.Va. (Princeton).
