The 48th Annual Bowman Scholars Celebration was held on October 4, recognizing students for clinical excellence, integrity, enthusiasm, and compassion
Congratulations to the 2025 Bowman Scholars: Greg Busey, Kelly Denhard, Casey Little, Sage Royston, and James Vithoulkas. Royston was selected as the 2025 Bowman Award recipient.
The Dr. Cecil Richard “Dick” Bowman Fund exists at the UVA School of Medicine to recognize medical students who demonstrate the spirit and ideals of the late Dr. Bowman. Five Bowman Scholars are chosen and honored annually at the conclusion of their third year of study, in recognition of clinical excellence and for exemplifying integrity, enthusiasm, and compassion, among other qualities. The Bowman Scholars are selected by a committee of clinical educators from the School of Medicine.
The Bowman Lecture will take place at Medicine Grand Rounds on October 24 and will feature Kate McManus, MD, RES’13, FEL’17.
