You can set up recurring gifts that will be automatically transferred from your bank account on or about the 10th of each month for as long as you wish. To set up a bank draft, use our Bank Draft Giving Form.
Many companies encourage their employees to make charitable contributions by matching their philanthropic support. Donors receive credit for their employers’ matching gifts. To find out if your employer offers a matching gift program, use our online search or consult your human resources office. If your company provides matching gifts, you must then obtain a matching gift form from your company or human resources office. Sign the form and mail it to the UVA Medical School Foundation (PO Box 800776, Charlottesville, Virginia 22908).
Bicentennial Scholars Program
Contributions of $100,000 or more for new endowments fully paid within five years will be matched $1 for each $2 in gift funding for new endowments supporting need- and merit-based scholarships, including those for medical students. Use your investments in the financial markets without losing a substantial portion of your earnings to the capital gains tax by making charitable contributions, either via an outright gift or a planned gift, with appreciated stock. You may also make a gift with appreciated shares in a mutual fund. View instructions and our Security Gift Form here.
Endowment gifts are long-term investments aimed at securing the success of the UVA Health System for years to come. These gifts are retained and invested to produce sufficient income to support student scholarships, faculty professorships, and other important programs.
A growing number of alumni and friends choose to support the University of Virginia through financial or estate planning. This process is known as gift planning and the gifts are referred to as planned gifts. Click here to learn more.
