The UVA Medical Alumni Association hosted 2026 Medical School Reunion Weekend, April 24 – 26. The event was attended by over 370 MD alumni and their guests. Photos from the weekend may be viewed here.

This year’s reunion celebrated milestones for the Classes of 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001 and 2006. The 5-, 10- and 15-year milestone celebrations for the Classes of 2011, 2016 and 2021 will be held during Fall Alumni Weekend, September 18-20.

The Class of 1976 (seen above) celebrated its 50th reunion and induction into the MAA’s 1819 Society. Alumni received personally-engraved medallions to mark the occasion.

Throughout the weekend, reunion attendees enjoyed more than 50 events, including tours of Grounds, mixers with current medical students, receptions and meals with classmates, and local outings. A highlight of the weekend was the Saturday morning programming, featuring a special performance by the School of Medicine’s a cappella group, the Arrhythmics. The program also included the opportunity to celebrate the generosity of alumni giving, hear remarks from students, and listen to updates about the School of Medicine from Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education Meg Keeley, MD ’92, and Interim Dean Colin Derdeyn, MD ’88. Recipients of the MAA’s 2005 awards were also recognized.
