More than 75 people gathered at the Rotunda in June for a special evening of networking and a fireside chat with alumna Vivian Pinn, MD '67
The UVA Medical Alumni Association collaborated with the Summer Medical Leadership Program for An Evening with Dr. Pinn on Thursday, June 25 in the Rotunda.
More than 75 people attended, including alumni, faculty, staff, and students of the Summer Medical Leadership Program and Summer Medical Research Internship program. The evening including time for networking, as well as remarks by Evelyn Aboagye, MD, MPH, who leads the Summer Medical Leadership Program, and Colin Derdeyn, MD ’88, interim dean of the School of Medicine. Guests also enjoyed a fireside chat with Vivian Pinn, MD ’67 and Christine Peterson, MD, the inaugural dean of Pinn College in the School of Medicine. Dr. Pinn shared about her journey in medicine and offered pearls of wisdom to program participants, mentees, and colleagues.
