Join Andy Lee, MD ’89, for a discussion about his work at the intersection of ophthalmology and space medicine. Dr. Lee is an internationally recognized expert in Spaceflight-Associated Neuro-Ocular Syndrome (SANS) and will talk about his involvement in a Houston Methodist–NASA collaboration. He will also discuss his path to NASA-related research and how this work supports astronaut health for long-duration space missions and the future of human space exploration. This talk is hosted by the UVA Space Medicine Interest Group, a student organization focused on providing education and exposure to the expanding field of space medicine.
