Graduation Day for the Class of 2025
Congratulations to the newest graduates of the University of Virginia School of Medicine
The UVA Medical Alumni Association is proud to welcome more than 200 new graduates of the School of Medicine to our alumni community!
On May 18, graduates receiving MD, PhD, and MPH degrees gathered on the steps of the Old Medical School for a pre-graduation breakfast, hosted by the UVA Medical Alumni Association. Graduates participated in Final Exercises at the University of Virginia, followed by degree-specific ceremonies:
- 144 medical students in the Class of 2025 received their Doctor of Medicine degrees on May 18. Their diploma and hooding ceremony took place at the Paramount Theater in downtown Charlottesville and was filled was family and friends.
- 42 Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program (BIMS) students received Doctor of Philosophy degrees in the 2024-25 academic year. Graduates and guests gathered at McLeod Hall’s Auditorium to celebrate.
- 114 Department of Public Health Sciences students were awarded Master’s degrees in public health, biological and physical sciences, or clinical research in the 2024-25 academic year. Many of these MPH graduates and their guests gathered at Culbreth Hall on May 18.
