October 16, 2017 – More than 200 SMD ’21 students and their families gathered at the Claude Moore Medical Education Building on October 16 for 2017 Family Day. The day included presentations by the college deans, remarks by Dean David Wilkes, MD, a team-based learning exercise led by Mary-Kate Worden, PhD, remarks by Vivian Pinn, MD ’68, and tours of the Claude Moore Medical Education Building, including the Simulation Center.

The UVA School of Medicine’s acapella group, The Arrythmics, performed and current medical students shared their perspectives on a student life panel.
