On May 22, more than 200 students of the University of Virginia’s School of Medicine officially joined the ranks of alumni. Following Final Exercises on Sunday morning, diploma ceremonies were held in the afternoon for graduates receiving their degrees as Doctors of Medicine, Doctors of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences, Masters of Public Health, and Masters of Science in Clinical Research.

Taison Bell, MD, an assistant professor in the Divisions of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Infectious Diseases and International Health, and director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at UVA Health, was the keynote speaker at Final Exercises on Sunday. Read or watch his remarks here.
