Topic: Exuberant Enthusiasm, Opportunities, and Excessive Risks: A Data-Driven Look at Carotid Disease Intervention
The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging will host incoming chair Colin Derdeyn, MD ’88 for a discussion on carotid disease interventions.
Discussion will occur around recognizing the importance of ischemic symptoms on benefit with revascularization; understanding impact of gender, timing, age, and degree of stenosis on benefit with revascularization; and understanding the role of stenting for carotid stenosis.
