Host Program FAQ

How will the Host Program work?

If you are applying for residency, you may submit a request to be connected with an alumnus/a in either the area or program that you are interested in. We have an extensive network of alumni all over the country who have volunteered to talk with students.

How many times may I submit a request?

You may submit as many requests as you would like! We will do our best to match you with an alumnus/a in that area or program. Please make sure you submit one request for each program/location.

Are you still going to be doing the regular Host Program?

This interview season, the Host Program will be strictly virtual.

How is this different from the regular Host Program?

Since there is no travel involved, the UVA Medical Alumni Association is able to offer students matches with alumni from across the country. This increases the likelihood of being able to match with someone who is in the exact location where you would like to be or who trained at the program you’re interested in learning more about.
