Virginia Medicine May 2024
CELEBRATING CONNECTIONS AND COMMUNITY
More than 400 UVA School of Medicine alumni and their guests gathered in Charlottesville during April as part of three events hosted by the UVA Medical Alumni Association.
In mid-April, the Class of 1966 held a mini-reunion and enjoyed fellowship and an update from K. Craig Kent, MD, CEO of UVA Health and executive vice president for health affairs. That event was followed by a reception for more than 40 alumni, students, housestaff, and faculty during UVA’s Black Alumni Weekend. Rounding out the month, 2024 Medical School Weekend welcomed alumni from the Classes of 1959, 1969, 1974 (seen above), 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999 and 2004 for their milestone reunions.
