2021 Award Recipients
In September, the UVA Medical Alumni Association announced the recipients of the following 2021 Alumni Awards:
- Walter Reed Distinguished Achievement Award: Lee M. Ellis, MD ‘83
- Distinguished Achievement Award in Biomedical Sciences: Carrie Cowardin, PhD ’16
- Early Achievement Award: Kyle B. Enfield, MD, Res ’06, Fel ’12
- Outstanding Medical Alumnus Award: Joel Bruce, MD ’87

Impact of Scholarships

Horsley Memorial Prize
The John Horsley Memorial Prize recognizes an investigation carried out in the lab, clinic, or in private practice by a recent graduate of the UVA School of Medicine or current UVA housestaff and includes a $5,000 cash prize. This year’s competition will close on April 15, 2022. MORE
